At the symposium, Director Wang Lu first gave a comprehensive introduction to Shenzhen Cell Valley, including the status quo of the cell therapy industry, the company's core retroviral vector technology, core technical team members, recently developed products, scientific research and clinical application cases, and the construction of service platforms. Then, the director introduced the park's development layout, results, investment policies and future prospects. This year, Wuhan will comprehensively promote the construction of the biomedical industry cluster, with the participation of government-led hospitals, enterprises and scientific research institutions, aiming to build an internationally competitive biomedical industry ecosystem. At present, the core area of the industrial park has been completed, settled in a number of enterprises, and built 600,000 square meters of industrial plants for enterprises to move in, it is expected that more than 100 enterprises will settle down.

In the following meeting, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on how to build a cooperation mechanism between the Greater Bay Area and Central China in the field of cell therapy. At the same time, in terms of talent reserve, the two sides stressed the importance of talent training, and pointed out that Shenzhen Cell Valley, as the executive director of the national biotechnology industry product-education integration community, has established a mature full-process system for talent training in the industry.

This exchange activity has deepened the understanding of both sides, and both sides firmly believe that with the support of the two governments, through the integration of hospitals, enterprises and scientific research institutions and other resources to achieve platform sharing, it will bring new development opportunities for the medical and health industry of the two places.

 

Wuhan Optics Valley South Health Industrial Park is located in Jiangxia District, with a planned area of 98.1 square kilometers, which is divided into three industrial development areas of Zhengdian, Miaoshan and Wulijie. Among them, Zhengdian Health industrial comprehensive area has a planned area of 85 square kilometers, mainly focusing on biomedical research and development and manufacturing. In the block, there are core institutions such as Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, P4 Biosafety Laboratory of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Wuhan Blood Products Company of Sinopsin Group. According to the plan, the Optics Valley South University Health Industrial Park plans to introduce 100 large health enterprises above scale through 10 years of efforts, achieve 10 billion yuan of tax revenue, and build a 100 billion industrial cluster of biomedicine, medical devices, and health and old-age care by 2030, driving more than 50,000 people to employment.
